I hope that you all had a safe and fun New Years Eve! My original intention wasn’t to do anything because I had to work that night and I haven’t had any days off. I kind of wanted to just sleep. But, I heard that in Downtown Nashville they were going to drop a big guitar at Midnight and have a few artists do a free concert until Midnight. How could I pass up a falling guitar, really?

So, after work I went home with a friend and got myself and her all ready, then we went to her house so we could change. Didn’t really want to stand out there for EVER (We got off work at 7PM), so we sat online, made grilled cheese sandwiches, and did a little pre-drinking. We left for Downtown around 10:30-ish and got there at like 11. Found a parking, walked over there, blah blah. It was PACKED! I don’t think I’ve ever been pushed so much and had my ass touched unknowingly in my entire life.

But, the event itself was beautiful! I posted a ton of pictures on my Flickr, so check the sidebar and go look at those. My favorite part was definitely after the ball dropped… at the VERY end, Rodney Atkins left the stage and then came back for an encore. He did “If You’re Goin’ Thru Hell” which is one of my absolute favorite songs. I got video of it on my Blackberry (My camera had died at this point) and it won’t let me e-mail it to myself to upload, but it did let me TwitVid it… (Rodney Atkins- If You’re Goin’ Through Hell…it’s pretty shaky) But, that was probably my favorite part.. I was singing screaming along the entire time.

As far as resolutions go…. I think I’m just going to try and remain positive this year. It sounds corny but I always let something piss me off or ruin my day, and I’m always in crappy moods. I’m going to try to not let anything get to me, just live my life, and enjoy every second of it. Sounds super corny but I think that’s the best way to try and live.

I hope that you all make the most out of this new year and forget completely about 2009 if it wasn’t good for you. It’s a new year, new start. Don’t waste it.

And just for the sake of posting another picture, I finally got all my pillows for my bed! they came … the day before yesterday, I think? I got home from visiting my boss and her baby and they were just thrown in boxes all over my porch, thanks Fed Ex!

Once I get everything out of the washer, I’ll post a Torrid haul since they came on the same day. I didn’t get that many things.. a lot of chonies.

I’m off to eat something, I’ve been lazy in bed all day and haven’t even wanted to eat. A big greasy burger sounds  mighty nice right now.
