EdenFantasys!
I recently came across a website called Edenfantasys through a fellow blogger friend (Jenn.nu) and decided to visit the site and see what they were about. When I visited I discovered not only do they offer toys in their adult shop but they also offer lingerie, bath and body items, and makeup! I decided to poke around the site some more and discovered that they work well with their customer base and not only offer an extensive review section but also an ambassador program and that definitely caught my interest. I’ve been thinking about trying out their makeup line which plays into my subtle brown and fall color love and the bath and body products, They look like they are great quality and from the many reviews I have read people seem to rave about them. I also just noticed the massage oil and lotion kits which always come in handy who couldn’t use a massage every now and again? I know I can especially going through this weight loss my body seems to be achy most days especially my back which I still have issues with even though I have lost close to 100lbs (!!!) since my pre-surgery weight loss.
I wanted to touch more on the subject of the ambassador program for anyone interested. Basically you provide posts and reviews in exchange for giftcards, It can be a one time thing or an ongoing offer and I have decided to indulge! I think that I am going to pick up a couple of these things:

Satin sugar hair and body powder for lighter hues
Plane friendly travel kit- Bath and shower gel
Those are just a few things that caught my eye so far but man I can get lost looking through all the different products on that site. haha What would you pick up from Edenfantasys? I haven’t decided if I want to venture into the adult toys section yet, I think I will keep that decision to myself!
EdenFantasys, an online sex toys store, compensated me for this post, but all opinions are my own.
Happy Holidays!
To say I am in the holiday spirit is an understatement. I have already finished all of my shopping and have all of the gifts wrapped in my awesome Spongebob wrapping paper that I found at the Dollar Tree (SCORE!). I am also more than ready to set up the tree and Christmas lights. Thanksgiving went off without a hitch and I did great eating I had some turkey, ham, and mashed potatoes. I also wasn’t as self conscious as I thought I would be eating in front of everyone because I haven’t eaten around the whole family before that. haha I have been on a blog giveaway entering spree lately but haven’t had much luck until today! I won a good friend of mines giveaway for a $50 gift certificate to xperiencedays.com and have talked it over with my Mom and Stepdad and decided that we will be going whale watching in Monterey so THANK YOU Leanne over at http://fresh-season.com/ check out her super cute blog. I also entered to win in my other friend Nancys giveaway which you can check out here: Click for Well.ca giveaway. Recently I went on an on the whim beach trip to my favorite places Halfmoon Bay and Pacifica and my favorite beaches at each place Rockaway Beach in Pacifica and Francis Beach in Halfmoon Bay and even though it was a little chilly the day was beautiful and we had the beach to ourselves and for the first time in years I actually got to walk up and down the beach and play around without feeling like I was going to keel over. It was miraculous and definitely a non-scale victory. Here are a few pictures from the day:
Francis Beach:
These are from Rockaway Beach as we were on our way out and home, LOVE the sunset:
Well now that you are all caught up with me I think I am going to go, I will leave you on a happy note that my current weight is 395lbs *fist pump*. I am ecstatic and haven’t been in the “3′s” in years. Speak to you all soon and hope you enjoy the pictures, Man I love the ocean.
Thanksgiving!
For years I have skipped out on family get togethers and holidays, Not because I don’t like spending time with my family but because I was so incredibly self conscious about my weight and even though I knew deep down inside my family would never judge me by that in the back of my head the way people in public treated me and looked at me and made comments about me haunted me and made me ostracize myself. Until you have walked a mile in my shoes you will never know the snide remarks I have heard people not to subtly say behind my back, The looks I would get from strangers, and the overall alienating feeling from people. I used to cry and tell my Mom I am not this weight by choice, I have TRIED to lose this and I am such a nice person but people who don’t know me don’t care and they don’t take the time to get to know me they instantly judge me by my weight and think I am just a fat lazy slob who doesn’t care about her health. If one of those strangers would have taken the time to get to know me they would have learned that I was petrified to get the diseases that run through my genetics, I had the high blood pressure and I was so afraid to get the Diabetes or one of the many other issues my Dad had suffered from.
This year is the first year since I was a kid where I have attended birthdays and holidays and I am excited to see everyone on Thanksgiving next week and spend the quality time with them. I missed out on some growing up and some time with my cousins children but not anymore, I am a new me and while I am losing this weight I am gaining MYSELF back. It is a great feeling and I am so happy to be making this transformation. Over those years my family never quiet understood why I was drawn away from them and I am sure I hurt feelings but I want them to understand it was NEVER them, it was all ME. I had issues (some that I still deal with) of my own and battling my own mind and “fixing” myself so to say is a process that I am taking on full speed ahead. Over all of these years it hasn’t just been weight, After a while the way people alienate you and make you feel about yourself really starts to get to you and break you down mentally. Not only do you have the physical breakdown from carrying so much weight around but you start to develop mental problems as well. Luckily I have an understanding doctor who helped me grasp all of these issues and listens to my concerns and tries to help me solve them.
Anyways, I am pretty excited to spend some time with my loved ones next week! Do you have any special plans? I am kind of nervous about eating because it is new food and I don’t know how my pouch is going to react. I have experienced dumping once since surgery and I don’t want to have anything bad happen or get a tummy ache while trying to enjoy time with the fam bam. :\ I am going to keep it simple obviously and stay away from everything I am not supposed to have but it is still nerve racking for me. I am always nervous to try new things when out and about because like I said the looming thought of dumping while somewhere other than home is terrifying.
I hope you all have a great holiday and if I don’t happen to update before then Happy Thanksgiving!
All about me Meme

This is the first Meme that is “All about me” so enjoy and if you feel like it let me know your answers in the comments!
All about me Meme
What time did you wake up this morning? I woke up at 1 P.M. today unfortunately, Since I was sick for those two weeks I have had a hell of a time getting my sleep schedule back on track because I would spend all night coughing and then resting as much as I wanted without guilt. Now I need to get my act back together so that I can actually live life and accomplish things throughout the day.
What do you like most about yourself? I had a hard time deciding if this was a physical or general question so I will answer both. Physically I love my eyes they are an awesome shape and multi-colored my Mom says I have “Cat eyes”.
In general I like my sense of loyalty, I am the type of person who has your back 100% and will always support you through thick and thin when I accept you into my circle of family/friends.. Never break my trust though because then you are pretty much screwed.
What do you like least about yourself? Physically for years I have disliked my weight and have not been able to get it under control no matter what I tried (That has certainly changed now eh?
). In general I dislike my temper, I have my Mom and Dads temper and those combined is pretty scary.
Can you sing? I can sing sure, Can I sing good though? Noway. lol I can belt out Adele like no other while driving and I feel like I am singing great but I know there is no chance in hell I have a record deal coming my way.
Can you dance? Yes! Luckily I have rhythm and can get down on the dance floor. I love to dance actually I have been too self conscious for years to go out to places and dance though.. I really really want Just Dance 3 for my Wii so I can get my groove on!
Do you smoke? Absolutely NOT. It is positively disgusting and I hate hate hate cigarettes I wish there were no such thing. I have asthma and am also allergic to cigg smoke.
Do you drink? Pre-op I would drink rarely. I am one of those people who got their partying over with during their teenage years so I have no interest in it. I didn’t even do the whole go out and get wasted ritual on my 21st birthday, I had the flu pretty bad but even if I didn’t I wouldn’t have. The last time I had a drink was last New Years and I don’t really care when the next time I have one is, if ever again.
Can you swim? Yes! I love to swim, I wish we had our own pool at my house.
Year you were born? 1988
Favorite color? My favorite color is red! When I was little it was always pink and I still have a soft spot for pink but yeah I stick with red now days.
Sleep with or without clothes? ….WITH. lol Clothes are a must thank you very much, I have many cute pajama sets and pants.
Sleep with or without socks? Without. I cannot sleep with socks I get too hot and end up kicking them off then have to go on a sock hunt in the morning. lol Lately my body temperature often runs cold so what I do is wear my socks up until bed time then hurry to get under the covers and keep my socks balled up on my bed so when I wake up in the morning I can put them right back on.
What time do you go to bed? It all depends on how my sleep schedule is, Like I said before lately I go to bed around 3 AM
That sums up the Meme, If you want to answer the questions but don’t have a blog feel free to answer the questions in the comment below BUT if you have a blog and want to participate please do! I am going to make this a little funner and tag a couple of my favorites.. I tag Nancy, Brandi, Amber, Nikki, and Nicolah! Speak to you all soon
Hello world!
YES! I am finally better again, My only issue now is that over the two weeks of being sick I couldn’t get any of my vitamins or protein in and it is proving to be so hard to get back on track with that I feel so worn down and weak. I didn’t think I would ever get off track and when my fellow WLS friends would talk about the lack of vitamins causing extreme tiredness and weakness I would think eh, It can’t be that bad! Well it is. haha I am getting a lot of encouragement from my WLS twibe friends to hop on the “vitamin train” daily and that is helping I have two more “stops” today and I will get all of my vitamins needed in for the first time since Oct. 16! How are you all doing with this weather change? Today it is overcast and it has been REALLY windy and cold since yesterday, while I love the cuddly weather I find that I am SOSOSO cold really easily lately which I am guessing is partly to do with the loss of fat so I have been bundling up big time since I am used to being hot all of the time.
One of my friends on twitter who also had WLS posted the link to this article a few days ago and I really have to say that my family is proof of what they are explaining. I believe that when one family member gets Gastric Bypass surgery that it causes others in the family to evaluate how they are eating and more importantly WHAT they are eating and how much. My Mom in particular has really cleaned up her eating habits and portions and I am pretty damn proud of her, She has also started daily Wii fit workouts that are benefiting her greatly. Here is a short snippet of the article you can click the link above to read the rest of it:
The research found that spouses, relatives and even the children of patients who underwent the procedure dropped significant amounts of weight, doubled their activity levels and had other improvements that were still evident a year after the surgery. The findings suggest that doctors who perform gastric bypass operations may want to look at the procedure as a way to bring about change in entire families in need of help with their weight and exercise habits, said Dr. John Morton, the director of bariatric surgery at the Stanford School of Medicine and an author of the study, which appeared in The Archives of Surgery.
“If you have a committed and involved family,” he said, “you’re going to have better outcomes for the patient, and also by the same token, the family members can have a collateral benefit.”
Every year, about 200,000 people undergo the most common gastric bypass operation, known as Roux-en-Y. Patients typically see significant weight loss and improvements in overall health, but researchers hadn’t really looked at whether the changes could affect other members of a patient’s household. Dr. Morton got the idea for the new study when he noticed that his bypass patients would often come in for follow-up visits alongside family members who showed improvements of their own.
“Patients would come in with their spouses, and in the course of them telling me how great everything was, the spouse would say, ‘I’ve lost weight too, and we’re eating healthier,’” he said.
Social support can be a powerful motivator in breaking bad habits. Studies have shown, for example, that people tend to lose more weight — and keep it off longer — when they take part in weight loss groups or start a diet with a husband or wife. Smokers, too, are nearly 70 percent more likely to give up cigarettes if a spouse quits smoking.
I am doing well besides the sickness that has passed and the weakness I am down to 402lbs I had a bit of a plateau which is normal but frustrating to not see the number on the scale move. I have to take a deep breath and remember that I am only 8 weeks out and while the number on the scale may not be moving I AM losing inches and burning fat, The changes in my clothing sizes has proved that. I am so close to the 300′s and so excited for that because to be honest I don’t even know how long it has been since I have been at that point.
I wanted to ask if any of my fellow gastric bypass patients have their medical alert bracelets and where you them from? I need to purchase one but my problem is I don’t just want the plain jane type I was browsing google earlier and there are SO many options now a days compared to the plain silver one my Dad used to have back in the 90′s. lol I want more of a normal type of everyday bracelet with the medical id on it but I am not sure which website to go with and which website would be best so if you have any advice please leave it in the comments below I love your feedback! I am going to get going now but I have lots of posts planned so I will “speak” to you all very soon
